Sarah Green
Founder & Lead Horticulturist
Sarah has been growing indoor plants in hot climates for over 8 years. Starting with a single pothos in her 45°C apartment without AC, she's built a collection of 100+ plants and developed the watering calculators and tools that power GreenNook. She holds a certificate in Urban Horticulture and has been featured in leading gardening publications.
Her mission is simple: prove that anyone ā even those in the hottest, smallest apartments ā can grow a thriving indoor garden.
Our Editorial Standards š

Why We Started GreenNook š±
It all started with a dying pothos in a sweltering apartment. Sarah had just moved into a top-floor flat with no air conditioning and windows that turned the place into a greenhouse by noon. Every plant she brought in seemed to struggle ā until she started paying attention to what actually works in extreme heat.
She began documenting her experiments: which plants survived, which died, what watering schedules actually worked, and how to arrange plants for optimal light in tiny spaces. Friends started asking for advice. Then strangers on the internet did.
That's when GreenNook was born ā not as a business, but as a solution. We built free calculators because no one should need a paid app to figure out when to water their snake plant. We write honest guides because everyone deserves to know what actually works, not what sounds good.
Today, GreenNook helps thousands of urban gardeners grow lush indoor gardens ā no backyard, no AC, no problem.
